A lovely diamond cluster ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The mixed metals design combines a 14kt gold band with a sterling silver centerpiece, creating a lovely 2-tone effect. Decorating the centerpiece is a cluster of 10 old Rose Cut diamonds, which are held within closed-back belcher settings. The largest center stone is elevated above the surface, while the smaller stones surrounding it form a sparkling halo design. Collectively, the diamonds have a total carat weight of approximately 0.80ctw. Completing the design is a slim gold band with cathedral-style shoulders. A wonderful?antique piece, it is highly representative of the Victorian era, and could make a unique engagement ring!
Measurements:?The ring has a finger size 7, but could be easily resized if desired. The centerpiece rests about 1/4" high, and measures 3/8" in diameter. The band measures approximately 1.5mm wide.
Condition:?The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling silver setting. The diamonds are all intact and securely set.
